Electric Porsche Cayenne equipped with Yokohama tires

In November 2025, Porsche introduced the electric crossovers Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, which will be available alongside the gasoline and hybrid variants of the previous generation, and for their equipment, the summer tires Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV and all-season ADVAN Sport A/S V35 were chosen.

Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV are UHP tires positioned by the manufacturer as intended for premium electric vehicles and distinguished by low rolling resistance, which improves energy efficiency, as well as reduced noise, improving the level of comfort. The sidewalls are marked with the E+ marking, indicating the specialization of the tires, and as part of the cooperation with Porsche, a new rubber compound was developed, designed to reduce rolling resistance while maintaining optimal traction on both dry and wet surfaces. In the EU labeling system, the tires received an A rating for rain performance, and to improve stability, the breaker belt structure was refined. The NG0 marking indicates that the tires were created for Porsche.

In turn, the Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV A/S V35 is designed for a wider range of weather conditions and has the M+S marking, but Yokohama emphasizes that for regions where snow or ice often appears on the roads, specialized winter tires are necessary.

The basis for creating the ADVAN Sport EV A/S V35 was the all-season tires ADVAN V35, approved for the previous generation Cayenne and designed with a focus on reducing energy consumption and noise, and together with Porsche specialists, a new rubber compound was also developed, which in this case should increase traction not only on dry and wet asphalt but also on snow. In addition, to improve stability, the stiffness of the carcass was optimized, and the contact area of the tire with the road was increased. The sidewalls of the all-season tires also feature the E+ and NG0 markings.

Both tires are installed on the Cayenne Electric in sizes 255/55 R20 at the front and 305/45 R20 at the rear.

Yokohama tires were first homologated by Porsche back in 1988, when the Yokohama A-008P model was approved for the legendary 911 sports car. After that, tires from the Japanese brand were chosen, among other things, for the Cayman, Boxster, and Panamera, and the Cayenne has been equipped with them from the first to the current fourth generation
