For BYD Sealion 06, Triangle tires are approved
On March 5, BYD announced at a presentation in Shenzhen, China, 10 electric vehicles that will be equipped with second-generation Blade batteries using fast charging technology, including the Sealion 06 crossover, whose configuration has been approved with tires specially developed by Triangle.
For the crossover, Triangle EnergyXEV TH801 Plus tires were created in size 235/55 R19, taking into account the increased loads caused by the increased torque and mass of the electric car, and also featuring a reduced noise level, the tire company reports.

The collaboration between Triangle and BYD began in 2009 with tire supplies for buses, and subsequently, tires were also homologated for passenger cars, such as the popular compact hatchback F0. According to Triangle, when BYD started electrifying its model range, the partnership was further strengthened, and now the company's tires are installed on several of BYD's best-selling cars, such as Seagull, Dolphin, E7, Qin L, and Seal.
"For the Sealion 06, we supply not just tires, but a product specifically designed for the electric segment," says Triangle. "The TH801 Plus is the result of in-depth study of operating conditions and the implementation of advanced technologies, allowing us to tailor the product to the individual characteristics of a specific vehicle."
