CST Tires collaborates with new Chinese car brand 212

CST Tires (a brand owned by Taiwanese Maxxis) has announced that it will become a partner and official tire supplier for the 212 - a new automotive brand that will continue the legacy of the legendary Chinese off-road vehicle BJ212 from BAIC Group.

The collaboration began with the supply of CST Sahara AT318 tires, designed for use on both asphalt and off-road, for the 212 T01 model, which was presented at the Guangzhou auto show. As noted in CST, vehicles under the new brand "will rely on the rich heritage of BJ212 and combine the durability and reliability of their predecessor with modern technology and design, allowing them to win the hearts of off-road enthusiasts and adventure seekers".

The CST Sahara AT318 tires have a tread pattern with wide zigzag grooves, providing quick water, mud, and snow evacuation, while the shoulder areas feature "tiger claw" traction lugs that increase traction on off-road surfaces and reduce the risk of punctures and other damage.

"We are delighted to be collaborating with the 212 brand, which will breathe new life into the legacy of the iconic BJ212," said Jimmy Chuang, sales manager for the original equipment sector at CST Tires. "The Sahara AT318 is the perfect tire to enhance the vehicle's off-road capabilities while maintaining optimal comfort and control for everyday driving".
