Continental introduces the second generation of CrossContact Extreme E for the 2022 racing season

Continental, a founding partner and exclusive tire supplier to the all-electric racing series Extreme E, has developed a new high-performance tire for the 2022 season, which kicks off at the end of this month.

The second-generation CrossContact Extreme E features improved characteristics compared to last year's model, and Continental has completely revamped the tread compound and carcass, incorporating a higher proportion of eco-friendly materials into their design.

A third of the new tire is now made from recycled and renewable materials, including silica derived from rice husk ash.
