Bridgestone introduces a new all-weather truck tire

Bridgestone has introduced a new truck tire, Bridgestone W920, to the US market, designed for use on dual drive axles and intended for operation in all weather conditions. According to the manufacturer, the tires are capable of providing a high level of traction on both dry and wet asphalt, as well as on gravel and snow, and their effectiveness in winter conditions is indicated by the 3PMSF marking on the sidewalls. 

The company adds that compared to tires from a competing brand - Michelin XDS2 in size 11R22.5 - the new tire's mileage is about 6% higher, which means it can travel an average of 17,000 km more. Compared to the previous generation model - Bridgestone W919 - the mileage has been improved by 18%. In addition, the W920 has become the third Bridgestone truck tire introduced in 2025, made using the Enliten technology, which allows for increased environmental friendliness of the tires, including through weight reduction, while improving other characteristics such as traction and durability. 

The new Bridgestone tires feature a non-directional tread pattern, which simplifies installation and rotation of the tires, as well as overall tire management for the fleet. Modified stone-ejecting platforms are located between the blocks, and a special rubber compound, open shoulder design, and deep lugs enhance traction in challenging weather conditions.

The tires are manufactured in Warren County, Tennessee, USA, and will initially be available in size 11R22.5, with the size range to be expanded in 2026.
