Bridgestone will provide tires for the sports tourer Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX
Bridgestone announced that it will supply Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 tires as original equipment for the new Ninja 1100SX sports tourer, recently introduced by Kawasaki Motors.
Kawasaki and Bridgestone have a long history of collaborating on tire development for a wide range of motorcycles, and for the Ninja 1100SX, they have homologated the new generation of sports tires introduced last year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the premium motorcycle tire brand Battlax.
Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 features a tread pattern designed to provide a balance between optimal stiffness in the contact patch for good handling on dry roads and quick water drainage for increased safety in rainy conditions. Additionally, the shape and construction of the tires have been optimized to improve stability both when traveling in a straight line and when cornering at large lean angles.

Compared to the previous generation of tires, Battlax Hypersport S22, all factors relevant to sports driving have been improved, and, for example, grip on dry racing tracks has increased and stability on winding mountain roads has been improved. Furthermore, the shoulder tires that contact the asphalt in turns are made from a new rubber compound that enhances grip.
The company adds that they continue to use motorsports as a laboratory for refining and testing technologies in extreme conditions, and then applying these new developments to the production of civilian tires in accordance with the "From Track to Road" concept. This allows Bridgestone to further strengthen its position in the premium motorcycle tire market, as evidenced by contracts with motorcycle manufacturers.
