BMW has included Giti tires in the equipment of electric crossovers
Singapore-based Giti Tire will supply tires for the electric crossovers BMW iX1 and iX2, for which new summer Giti GitiSynergy H3 size 245/40 R20 have been approved, which, according to the company, are designed with extremely high requirements of the German car manufacturer for efficiency, economy and environmental friendliness.
Like many other tires created for use on electric vehicles, GitiSynergy H3 have a reduced rolling resistance and noise level, and Giti adds that they also feature an increased lifespan and aerodynamic sidewall design. In the EU labeling system for fuel efficiency, they received an A rating, while the star symbol on the sidewall indicates that the tires were developed in accordance with BMW specifications.
The collaboration between the two companies began with tire supplies for vehicles under the Mini brand, after which Giti's products were also homologated for the BMW 1-Series.

As Nicolas Kluzon, Giti's key account manager for the OE sector in the European market, explained, the development of tires for electric crossovers required ensuring extremely low rolling resistance without compromising handling, and "the successful fulfillment of these requirements highlights the high level of capabilities of Giti Tire's research and development department."
"This project is of great importance to Giti Tire as an OE tire manufacturer and reflects our desire to create innovative solutions that meet the changing requirements in the field of electric mobility," he added. "As sustainable development becomes increasingly important for both car manufacturers and consumers, we will continue to develop our technologies in this area."
The GitiSynergy H3 tires were developed at Giti's technical center in Hanover (which is why the sidewalls feature the inscription German Engineering), and testing was carried out at the company's testing facility at the MIRA proving ground in the UK and several tracks in Germany and Spain. The AdvanZtech platform was used in the development process, which, according to Giti, allows combining the competencies of the company's international network of research centers, testing facilities, and engineering teams.
