All-season tire Yokohama Avid TRZ S316 is designed for use in compact passenger cars, being intended for everyday operation. It is distinguished by reliability in handling on wet surfaces, quiet and smooth ride, fuel efficiency, resistance to damage and long service life.
The tread pattern is notable for its asymmetric arrangement of elements, which largely provides the tire with balanced ride properties. In particular, the inner side contains an increased number of grooves and lamellas. This significantly improves the traction and adhesion properties on wet surfaces. In the outer part of the tread pattern, more massive and rigid elements predominate, which give the tire performance at high-speed movement, ensuring course stability and ease of handling in such conditions. It is worth noting the profile of the tread, largely borrowed from commercial tires, where the central part is made almost flat, and the side sections have a trapezoidal profile, giving the blocks located here additional resistance to deformation. This significantly simplifies control over the trajectory of the vehicle's movement due to the greater stability of the adhesion properties. This solution provides the tread with better resistance to abrasive wear, which increases the mileage of the tire, especially on roads with worn-out pavement. An important feature of the tire is the use of a special rubber compound in its manufacture. It is notable for its ability to remain elastic at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, differing in excellent resistance to abrasive wear, cuts and punctures.
