Description Tunga Tunga
The Tunga winter passenger tire was created with an eye on similar tire products from the most famous Scandinavian manufacturers. At the same time, this model has a number of distinctive features that do not allow it to be considered a copy of tires from more well-known brands. Another feature is excellent traction properties on any winter surface, regardless of road and weather conditions, as well as low operating costs, which consist of low purchase costs, long service life, and fuel efficiency.
Arrow-shaped blocks in the central part of the tread
One of the characteristic features of this model is a symmetric directional tread pattern with an original V-shaped design. It is mainly formed due to a multitude of arrow-shaped blocks located longitudinally in its center and connected by rigid bridges. Such a structure of the central part, combined with the massive size and polygonal shape of these tread elements, provides the tire with a number of operational qualities that are extremely important when driving on winter roads.
First of all, this is excellent course stability, which is ensured by the high deformation resistance of the central longitudinal rib. Another significant advantage is the presence of a large number of variably directed gripping edges formed by the arrow-shaped polygonal configuration of the tread blocks.
Dense lamellation
Despite the fact that the symmetric directional pattern of this model contains a significant number of individual elements, most of the gripping edges are formed not by them, but by numerous lamellas. At the same time, their presence in no way disrupts the rigidity of the blocks in which they are cut, due to the wavy shape. It allows the lamella walls, which open when contacting the road surface, to tightly close between themselves, which, in turn, leads to a significant increase in the rigidity of the tread blocks.
Main features of the Tunga tire
- a symmetric directional tread pattern with a V-shaped design, created according to the same principles as Scandinavian winter tires, provides excellent performance on any winter surface;
- a multitude of arrow-shaped blocks connected by rigid bridges increases course stability and maneuverability, while reducing rolling resistance;
- dense lamellation improves traction on ice and handling on dry roads by increasing the rigidity of the tread blocks.
