Description Triangle TF402 EffeXIce
The Triangle TF402 EffeXIce model is the optimal solution for extreme winters, where safety is determined by traction on ice. Designed for passenger cars, it features an advanced friction architecture of the tread, providing not just traction, but also articulated handling. This is achieved through clear feedback, which the tire conveys to the steering wheel even on slippery surfaces.
Base
The constructive basis is a carcass with aramid reinforcement, providing minimal deformation for precise control. The key role is played by a two-component rubber compound. Its elastic upper layer retains traction in the cold, and the wear-resistant lower layer protects, guaranteeing a long service life and stability of characteristics.
Tread system
The tread design is built on a proven, but evolutionarily improved asymmetrical non-directional architecture with a developed system of block structures. Wide ribs, segmented into independent blocks, are densely covered with wavy 3D lamellas. The latter, when closed under load, create a rigid platform for stability on a straight line and precise steering control. Their complex shape provides thousands of microscopic edges for traction on rolled snow. Active shoulder zones are equipped with blocks of variable width with aggressive cutting angles. They work as independent stabilizers. Wider blocks provide support in turns, and narrower ones maintain flexibility for contact with ice irregularities. This zone is also densely lamellated for additional grip.
Key technological advantages:
- a combination of elasticity for traction and strength for wear resistance due to the special composition of the compound;
- a non-directional asymmetrical pattern with wavy lamellas for a balance of stability and handling;
- shoulder blocks with adaptive geometry for progressive response in turns;
- the ideal choice for harsh winters with frequent icing and snowstorms.
