Despite the "winter" name, the Toyo Snowprox S952 passenger tire in our country should be considered as an "all-season" tire. This model was developed taking into account the climate in Western and Central Europe, where winters are much milder than in our country.
Increased silica content in the compound
More than half of the compound used to manufacture the tread of this tire consists of silica. This component improves traction on wet roads and provides increased elasticity at low temperatures without compromising wear resistance.
Good resistance to aquaplaning
The tread pattern of this model features three wide longitudinal drainage grooves. They are connected to each other by a multitude of transverse channels, which allows for effective removal of virtually any amount of water from under the contact patch.
Improved traction properties on snow
A distinctive feature of the tread is the presence of a large number of blocks. This solution significantly improves traction properties on snow. At the same time, the slotted lamellas in the blocks give the tire confident behavior on icy roads.
Main features:
- high silica content in the rubber mixture improves traction on wet roads and elasticity in frost;
- developed drainage system provides resistance to aquaplaning.
