The Orium SUV Winter tire is installed on crossovers. It was developed by the specialists of the Michelin tire concern, which owns this brand. It is characterized by a design adapted to the high center of gravity and weight of SUV-class vehicles. On slippery surfaces, it stands out for its excellent directional stability and handling accuracy, combining these properties with fuel efficiency and a long service life.
The tread pattern of the tire features blocks of different orientation. In the central part, they are arranged longitudinally, which improves handling accuracy and directional stability when driving in a straight line. In the shoulder zones, small blocks are used, unfolded across. They provide the tire with traction when maneuvering and braking. The tread contains a large number of lamellas. The edges formed by them are directed across, which ensures high traction and effective braking on ice and compacted snow.
Main features:
- a wide edge in the middle and longitudinally arranged blocks in the central part improve handling accuracy, directional stability, and fuel efficiency;
- small blocks in the shoulder zones provide stability when maneuvering, reduce the braking distance on snow;
- numerous lamellas increase the effectiveness of the tread on wet, icy surfaces.
