Description Michelin Energy MXV4
The Michelin Energy MXV4 tire for SUVs and crossovers is another extension of the popular line of "energy-efficient" models, and at the same time, the debut of the French manufacturer in this segment of tire products. Previously, it did not offer a crossover tire designed for year-round operation. At the same time, the use of modern technologies and the latest materials made it possible to preserve the "signature" feature of the entire Energy line, namely, careful attitude to the environment.
Low fuel consumption
All, without exception, elements of the design of this model, to a greater or lesser extent, reduce fuel consumption, having a positive impact on rolling resistance. A significant role in this belongs to the tread. Its design is represented by five longitudinal ribs, most of the gripping edges of which are located at a significant angle.
Another factor that determines the low rolling resistance of this tire is the rubber compound, namely the physicochemical properties of the compound. Thanks to special components in its composition, the tread is not subject to excessive heating during movement. This has a positive effect not only on fuel efficiency but also on the durability of the tire.
It is impossible not to note the very lightweight, yet deformation-resistant carcass. It is largely made from modern synthetic materials, which, in combination with advanced technologies, allowed giving its design increased stiffness. The ability of the tire to maintain its original shape under load significantly reduces rolling resistance.
Main features of Michelin Energy MXV4
- optimized carcass design, special compound composition, a number of features in the tread design significantly reduce rolling resistance, provide a long service life;
- numerous lamellas, located at different angles relative to the direction of movement, provide the tire with reliable behavior in unfavorable road conditions.
