Interstate VAN IVT-1

Summer light truck tire Interstate VAN IVT-1 of the well-known Dutch manufacturer is designed for minivans, light trucks and other small-capacity commercial vehicles operated in the city and on highways.

The tire was specifically designed for the new generation of small-capacity commercial vehicles and, according to the manufacturer, combines a long service life with a high level of comfort while driving. The design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is typical for the new generation of light truck tires. The tread pattern consists of two central ribs and two shoulder areas. This solution made it possible to provide a large contact area in combination with a very even weight distribution over its entire area, which in turn significantly improved traction on dry surfaces and increased the durability of the tire. Additionally, the Interstate VAN IVT-1 tire, due to such a scheme of tread element placement, demonstrates extremely low rolling resistance, and therefore excellent fuel efficiency, which is an essential indicator of the economic efficiency of commercial transportation.

It is also worth noting the S-shaped form of the two central ribs, which made it possible to significantly reduce the noise level, making the ride more comfortable. Another distinctive feature of the central ribs is the presence of S-shaped transverse self-locking lamellas on their surface, which, by increasing the stiffness of these tread elements, improve the efficiency of acceleration and braking, and their placement on the surface of the ribs with a variable pitch also contributes to reducing the noise level.

This tire, thanks to three deep and wide drainage longitudinal grooves, has excellent resistance to aquaplaning, which allowed the tire to demonstrate stable and safe behavior when driving even on very wet roads.
