The Bridgestone Blizzak LM50 winter tire is designed with the constructive features and characteristics of large minivans and SUV category vehicles, primarily intended for the North American market. The strong side of the tire is its stability on any slippery surface, despite the high center of mass and increased vehicle weight.
The tread pattern is almost completely "borrowed" from the WS-50 model. It is characterized by an increased number of blocks that form numerous and multidirectional high edges. These edges provide the tire with good traction and coupling properties on snow. The lamellas with wavy edges cut into all blocks allow for effective acceleration and braking on wet pavement and ice. The elastic rubber compound with a high "silica" content allows the tire to retain all its driving qualities even at extremely low temperatures.
