Description Mitas SportForce+ RS
Mitas SportForce+ RS — a motorcycle tyre that feels at home on the racing track, but still doesn't lose its ability to handle highway driving. This is a full-fledged racing tool, available to every athlete.
Grip chemistry
The basis of the tyre is the proprietary Racing Soft compound. This is a polymer matrix with an extremely low elasticity modulus at high temperatures. The mixture is specifically depleted of fillers that increase wear resistance to maximize the friction coefficient at working temperatures. The key figure is 80 degrees. It is when this temperature is reached on the tread surface that molecular bonds are activated, providing "grip" to the asphalt at a level comparable to an adhesive compound. Note that at a temperature below 60 C, the compound behaves rigidly and requires careful piloting. But as soon as the thermal energy from braking and acceleration is transferred to the shoulder area, the rubber transitions to a viscoelastic state.
Profile geometry
The carcass is oriented not only for strength but also for informativeness. A high-modulus nylon cord with variable stiffness was used in different zones: the central part is responsible for stability on straights, and the sidewalls have a reinforced structure that prevents excessive deformation under load.
Key features of the Mitas SportForce+ RS:
- fully legal for public roads, but identical to racing slicks in terms of characteristics;
- the unique RS compound provides a friction coefficient close to adhesive, in the working range of 80±5 C;
- reinforced sidewalls and an optimized profile provide linear feedback, allowing confident control of the motorcycle;
- the central zone of the tread with a rigid breaker guarantees stability on straights even at maximum speeds, eliminating vibrations.
