These two technological solutions relate to the tire's cord design. It is wound using a single rubber cord with five steel strands inside. The absence of seams, joints, and duplicate layers, combined with a rubber sheath, reduces the tire's weight, improves elasticity, and decreases heat generation, resulting in a longer tire life.
3 Layer Compound
This term translates to "three-layer rubber compound." In practice, it means the tread consists of three longitudinal strips with different rubber compound compositions. The central part of the tread is made from a harder rubber compound, ensuring stable behavior when driving straight. The shoulder areas of the tread contain a softer rubber compound, improving traction when cornering.
