Грузовые шины Tornado GL682a

The Tornado GL682a model is designed as a high-precision tool for long-haul truckers working in a tight schedule. The tyre combines sporty clarity of reactions and reliability, reducing operational costs.

Control Architecture

Installation on the front axle imposes special requirements on the geometry and stiffness of the tyre. Its design guarantees minimal deformation under lateral loads, which is critical during emergency maneuvers and cornering on the highway.

Contact Patch as the Foundation of Grip

The basis is a classic ribbed structure, but with a modernized block profile. Here, the focus is on increasing the contact area. Due to the optimized shape of the longitudinal ribs and their dense arrangement, the working area has been expanded by 10-12% compared to tyres of the previous generation. The result:

- grip properties reach a new level: braking distance on dry and wet surfaces is reduced due to more even pressure distribution;
- traction characteristics at start-up and during acceleration are significantly improved, allowing confident starts even on slippery sections.

Stability in Turns

The outer shoulder areas of the tread are designed according to a closed scheme. This design prevents them from "folding" in turns and dampens resonant vibrations that occur during maneuvering. In combination with the reinforced sidewall cord, this provides impressive directional stability. The sidewall is also additionally protected from cuts and wear, which is especially relevant when working on shoulders and in construction zones.

Strength Reserve

Load capacity is ensured not only by the wide contact patch but also by the radial construction of the power frame. The multi-layer metal cord with high thread density guarantees stability of geometry under maximum loads.

Key Features of Tornado GL682a:

- compatible with most highway trucks, including European and Asian brands, thanks to standardized mounting sizes and load indices;
- provides impeccable accuracy and instant response to steering wheel turns;
- the extended contact patch and ribbed pattern guarantee a short braking distance and reliable acceleration;
- low rolling resistance, achieved through aerodynamic development of the tread and innovative compound, provides real fuel savings.
