The distinctive feature of the Nokian NTR32 tire is its versatility in application. The model can be used on both commercial vehicles of medium and large capacity, as well as on buses. The Finnish manufacturer positions it as a tire for the steering axle, but at the same time, it allows for the possibility of operation on trailers and semi-trailers. In addition, the tire marking contains the abbreviation M+S, meaning that it can be used throughout the year.
Year-round use
The possibility of operation in winter is provided by several design features. First of all, it is the tire tread, made from a special rubber compound. It remains elastic even at very low temperatures. At the same time, the presence of modern polymers in the composition provides resistance to tread wear and mechanical damage.
Another factor that provides the tire with traction on slippery surfaces is the numerous narrow slits. They are located transversely and in such a way that when in contact with the road surface, they form very long traction edges that stretch across the entire tread.
Reliability
The tire is distinguished by increased reliability even on poor roads. It is provided by the reinforced design of the sidewalls. They have an additional cord, which, like other carcass elements, is made of special high-carbon steel.
Wear indicator
Some of the solutions used in this tire were borrowed from passenger models. We are talking about the wear indicator. Special slits in the form of numbers allow visually determining both the degree of tread wear and the need to replace the tire.
