Description Dovroad DD612
In the field of commercial transportation of small and medium radius, ideal conditions are rarely encountered. Urban access roads, wet regional highways, temporary dirt sections — a standard challenge for the tire. Dovroad DD612 was created as a response to this reality. It's not a specialized, but a versatile, "workhorse" for any axle.
Stability with elements of aggression
Several segmented longitudinal ribs form the basis of the tread. This classic, but highly efficient architecture solves the key problems of highway operation:
- minimizes deformation and energy losses during rolling, directly affecting the reduction of fuel consumption;
- rigid ribs provide excellent straight-line stability at speed and create a basis for even, predictable wear across the entire tread width, increasing its resource;
The edges of the blocks have a pointed shape. This creates not one, but a whole series of differently directed working edges in the contact patch, which effectively "bite" into the wet asphalt, improving traction during braking and acceleration.
Numerous protruding mud-grabbers are located on the edges of the tread. These elements are activated during lateral deviation or on soft soils, performing two functions: providing additional lateral traction on mud or gravel, as well as increasing the self-cleaning ability of the tire, maintaining the effectiveness of the main pattern.
Concept of protected strength
The rubber compound is designed with an emphasis on resistance to cuts, chips, and abrasive wear. This allows the tire to confidently withstand contact with curbs, debris, and uneven surfaces. The significant initial tread depth in combination with a multi-layer cord made of high-strength materials provides an increased margin of safety, protection against punctures, and, as a result, an increased resource. The design is adapted for high axial loads on any position.
Key features of Dovroad DD612:
- segmented rib structure guarantees excellent directional stability at high speed and even tread wear;
- special shape of the edges of the elements creates multiple active edges for reliable traction on wet asphalt and effective resistance to hydroplaning;
- reinforced compound, large initial tread depth, and robust carcass minimize the risk of cuts and punctures, ensuring a long service life.
