The closed tread pattern consists of continuous longitudinal ribs, which reduces rolling resistance, increases the tire's resistance to abrasive wear, and improves traction on asphalt roads. The zigzag shape of the grooves and the presence of special protrusions on the edges provide high efficiency on snow and dirt. These same features reduce the tire's heat generation during prolonged high-speed driving with increased weight load.
