The block structure of the central part of the tread also allowed equipping the tire with a very developed drainage system, which consists of a large number of longitudinal and transverse grooves. Thanks to this, the tread pattern has acquired the ability to very quickly remove from the contact patch even very significant volumes of water, which, in turn, led to an increase in the tire's resistance to aquaplaning.
