The tread pattern is a combination of individually standing blocks. The dense arrangement of elements in a "chessboard" order, combined with a virtually flat profile of the tread, increases the contact patch, improving traction and reducing the level of abrasive impact on the tire, as well as decreasing rolling resistance. The edges of the blocks and the notched lamellae provide enhanced traction and braking properties on slippery wet and snowy surfaces. They are significantly strengthened due to the use of a special rubber compound in the manufacture of the tread. In addition to its resistance to abrasive wear, it is also characterized by increased elasticity at low temperatures.
