Porous Compound
The tire's tread is made of a rubber mixture containing a large number of microscopic voids. They are used as pumps, capturing and retaining moisture from icy or wet surfaces. At the same time, they do not weaken as the tread wears out, thanks to the uniform distribution of these voids throughout the compound. Another significant advantage of this solution is improved elasticity at negative temperatures. 3D-Lamellas and Stud Installation
The next progressive technological solution implemented in this model is 3D-lamellas. The side walls of the grooves have numerous protrusions that, by hooking into each other, fix the lamellas in an open position when in contact with the road surface and at the same time limit the mobility of the blocks. As a result, the traction properties on ice not only increase but also become very stable. They can be significantly improved with the help of studs. The manufacturer has provided over a hundred places for their installation. Each of them is equipped with 6-angled protrusions for crushing and faster removal of ice chips. The stud installation sites are arranged in such a way that during movement, 14 so-called "anti-skid chains" are formed.
