The Hankook IW01 Winter i*cept iON winter tire is specifically designed for modern electric vehicles. This friction-type model is distinguished by its reliable traction characteristics on winter roads, as well as its particularly low rolling resistance. This factor allows for a reduction in energy consumption per kilometer, increasing the efficiency of the electric vehicle.
The tread pattern is represented by a V-shaped type. In its center, there is a double rib with uneven edges, which smoothly transitions into block formations in the mid-area. Thanks to their diagonal arrangement and the presence of three-dimensional wavy lamellas, not only is traction and traction increased, but protection against lateral skidding is also implemented. Note the high density of elements, which is responsible for the quick response to steering wheel turns. The elongated blocks in the shoulder area form a multitude of engaging edges, allowing for easy overcoming of snowy road sections.
The tire is made from a special compound that contains a number of additional components. This allows for a significant reduction in air flow resistance while maintaining the reliability of the tire's fixation in the contact patch.
