The Habilead RW506 winter tire is designed with consideration for the winter road and climatic conditions of Northern European countries and Russia. The model is characterized by improved traction properties on ice, resistance to aquaplaning, short braking distance, and precision and speed in handling.
Aggressive tread pattern
Externally, the tire stands out with a tread pattern featuring an aggressive V-shaped design. It is distinguished by the massiveness and complexity of the block shapes, which form several functional areas. One of them is the arrow-shaped longitudinal rib. Essentially, these are quadrangular blocks connected by wide bridges. This solution improves several operational properties at once - directional stability, traction during acceleration, fuel efficiency, and acoustic comfort.
The shoulder blocks, on the other hand, are narrow and inclined, having a trapezoidal shape in the side projection. Such features, on the one hand, provide excellent traction properties during longitudinal accelerations on snow and maneuvering. It is worth noting the zigzag shape of the lateral walls of the shoulder blocks. They additionally enhance the traction properties on snowy surfaces.
Dense lamella cutting
The tread pattern of the tire is distinguished by a high density of lamella cutting. These elements have a zigzag shape, limiting the transverse mobility of the blocks. As a result, the traction properties on ice are distinguished not only by their reliability but also by their stability. Part of the lamellas is located in the upper part of the tire's sidewalls. These elements improve the effectiveness of the tread during strong lateral accelerations. Additionally, there is always the possibility of installing studs. The Asian manufacturer has provided for this with over a hundred special places. Around them, there are snowflake-shaped protrusions. They are designed to crush ice crumbs into smaller fragments, which increases the effectiveness of the studs.
