The tread of the tire is made from a rubber compound obtained using Smart-Mix technology. This compound contains silicon dioxide and rapeseed oil, which keeps the tread elastic at low temperatures. As a result, the tire literally sticks to smooth icy surfaces. Additionally, these components significantly increase the tread's resistance to mechanical damage, abrasive wear, and prolonged heating.
The directional tread pattern features a solid rib in the center with a complex V-shaped segment shape. These segments increase the directional stability at high speeds. At the same time, the stiffness and monolithicity of the rib reduce rolling resistance and wear. The blocks located next to it, forming elongated transverse serrated edges, allow for intense acceleration and braking on snow. The effectiveness of the tread on slippery and smooth surfaces is ensured by several thousand lamellae with "3D-locks". The three-dimensional profile of the vertical walls of the grooves, giving the blocks stiffness, makes handling more predictable and reliable.
